Robin is Back!

-Robin was at the reception, which obviously thrilled everyone in attendance. Otherwise, I have seen Robin EVERYWHERE. Thus far he appears tireless and can be seen a lot in Ned’s office as well as the two are in constant morning conversation. #19 is quietly making major impacts everwhere. No surprise. Here’s what a few of his pupils told me about their new coach:
Prince Fielder: “Robin’s a Hall of Famer, but he talks to us in a regular way, he’s just a cool guy. He’s like Tony’s (Gwynn) dad, they’re both the same way, they don’t talk about what they did; they just help you try to get better at what you are doing now. They make you feel real comfortable. On the field they mean business, but every now and then you can joke around with them and it’s not so uptight. I appreciate that about them.”
JJ Hardy: “You know it’s kind of surreal for me to think about the comparisons with me and him that started in high school and the fact that the Brewers drafted me and now I’m in the big leagues and he’s the infield coach and bench coach. It’s just awesome.”
