The second coming of Arnie Fay Ray Queen of Sheba
We inherited a dog for Christmas, her name is Sandy. I think she looks a lot like ol' Tip. Jammie's Aunt Ruthie is moving and couldn't keep her so we are now the proud owners of Sandy. The kids are super excited. Sandy is 8 or 9 years old and very mellow. Franz Josef (our cat) said hello to her by jumping on her back. They'll get used to each other soon I'm sure.

Christmas Fiesta at Barb and Mom's New House
Well, what is the plan? I think it has been decided to have a Christmas fiesta again now moved to Mom and Barb's new house at 462 38th Ave in Kenosha on Christmas Eve. Mass at St. Elizabeth is at 4:15. Gather afterwards (5:15ish?) What can you bring to the feast? David is bringing Chili, Michael is bringing Pork and Refritos and Tostadas, Robert is bringing Taco Meat and Avacados, Karen is bringing Taco Salad, Barb is bringing the fixins. We could use some mexican rice, tortilla chips,. Any other ideas to add to the spread would be appreciated. Everyone bring drinks (Cerveza or Jarritos, I'll be bringing Margaritas). If you know what you can bring send me an email

May GOD take care of them until we all come home to meet them once again. Sadly missed in this world, but GOD's light shines through them every day into our hearts.

Rick Bayless was at Crate and Barrel in Chicago today signing his new book "Everyday Mexican". I had no idea he was going to be there and had just stepped into the store to warm up. In fact, I had been gabbing to Michael on the cell throughout the store. When I set down my bag to put my phone away, there he was! He signed my cookbook for Michael and patiently listened to me gush over him. We even got this photo. Lucky day.
