Snow Day! Yipppeeeee!

We were at Pet's at 10:30 tackling the hills. Notice Harry's Christmas ski goggles from April. He went down the hill more times than any single person there, running back up each time. Even Lisa (italian teacher and Jammie's buddy) and some of Michael's students joined us. The superintendent is my hero (for now).

Renata Loses Tooth

Renata lost her first tooth on the first day back to school (Jan. 3rd). She held that thing in the entire winter break, just so that she could get the special certificate from her teacher. At bedtime, she didn't want to put the tooth under her pillow.
"What if you or Daddy just puts 50 cents under my pillow."
"That's not how it works. That's the tooth fairy's job. She does that whenever she knows a tooth is under a pillow somewhere."
"See, the thing is, mom, I don't really believe that."
"Oh, well, if you don't believe, she won't come. She can sense that. And I don't do it. She does. So do you want to put your tooth under your pillow?"
"No."
"Ok. So can I put it in my scrapbook instead?"
"Yes. And since it has some blood on it, maybe you'll want to use red paper as the background."
